Vocal Master Class at Syros With soprano Myrtò Papatanasiu 5-8 August 2022
In the context of 18th International Classical Music Festival of Cyclades
The great Greek soprano Myrtò Papatanasiu in a five-day Master Class in Hermoupolis, Syros will focus on the correct use of the voice.
The Master Class includes:- 4 courses of 45’ minutes with soprano Myrtò Papatanasiu
- Coaching, piano accompaniment and extra rehearsals with maestro Nikos Vasileiou
- Recital of the active participants in the emblematic Apollo Theater of Syros
- Participants accepted regardless of singing level or singing diploma
- Applicants are required to send a video performing works of their choice and a short cv
- Cost for active participants: €350
- Cost for auditors: €30

Ars longa, vita brevis
In August 2014 the ICMFC celebrated its 10th anniversary and the 150 years from the inauguration of Apollo Theatre of Hermoupolis, with a saying by Hippocrates of Cos (460 – c. 370 BC), an ancient Greekphysician of the Age of Pericles (Classical Greece), "Ars longa, vita brevis", an expression that perfectly describes what has been achieved in the festival's first decade.
