ELENY GIAVRIDI
Eleny Giavridi was born in Athens. She has studied History of Art at University College London and singing at the Hellenic Conservatory with Lela Stamos Kolassi graduating with distinction and First Prize. She has furthered her studies with soprano Maria Dolors Aldea in Barcelona and baritone Richard Barrett in New York.
She has made her debut with Holland Park Opera singing Oscar (Un Ballo in Maschera), Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), and Princess (L' Enfant e les Sortilèges).
She has appeared with the Greek National Opera in the roles of Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) and Fiordiligi (Cosi fan Tutte). She has sung the roles of Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Norina (Don Pasquale) for North Bohemian Opera.
She has interpreted Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Aspasia (Mitridate) for the Estates Theater Prague and Mozart Festival of La Coruña.
On the concert stage she has appeared with London Chamber Orchestra, Archi della Scala, North Czech Philharmonic in works such as Fauré's Requiem, Brahms's Ein Deutsches Requiem, Concert arias, Exsultate Jubilate by Mozart, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Haydn's Orlando Paladino, Händel' s Messiah.
She has appeared with Baroque and Early music ensembles such as Vox Aeterna, Ensemble Vivaldi in works by Gesualdo, D' India, Vivaldi, Marcello.
Her recital repertory includes works by Schubert, R. Strauss, Debussy, Granados, and Dallapiccola.
