Petros Vlassis

Petros Vlassis was born in Athens, where he commenced learning the violin as a child. After receiving his diploma at the Odeion Athinon (Athens Conservatory) in the class of P. Despotidis he continued his musical studies at the "Mozarteum" Academy in Salzburg, Austria, where he got his violin and his viola diplomas in the classes of R. Schmidt and V. Hagen respectively.

He is a member of the Athens State Orchestra, has the viola part in the "Aquartet" string quartet, while, together with his wife, the violinist Mary Zampeli, forming the core of the ensemble Orfeas.

He has performed in many european countries, Japan and Brazil.

Teaching the violin takes up part of his time.
